was going to get one along with a air puffer. is there any difference in reality with the cheap £3 jobbies from the bay and the expensive ones?

I use an old photographic lens brush blower

I use a thing called a hurricane blower - it's just a puffer with a large capacity squeezy bit and a narrow tube with no brush - it produces a really strong puff of air which shifts dust and debris off the lens. For any marks actually on the lens I use the Baader Optical Wonder fluid and their micro fibre cloth. After making a mess of the coatings on a decent eyepiece a few years ago with a so-called optical cloth I'm very cautious about what actually touches the lenses on my gear. Once bitten and all that

yeah ive seen the hurricane blowers. might go for that. not that ive expensive e/p's yet, but want to look after the ones ive got and getting.
