Baader red dot finder, is it any good?

I agree. It's a bit better than the standard RDF - the lens is larger than normal and is better shielded from dew. Comes with a good range of bases too.

Having checked the type provided with the Skywatcher 130P I'd say it's a small improvement.

What is it you don't like about the standard one ?.

rdf's generally are simply to allow initial placement of the scope so don't worry too much. I have the Baader one and Teleads. much prefer the Telrads but the Baader is very good too for the price.

I always seem to be adjusting it, it has that stupid quick release thing but that seems to make it quite easy for it to move. I have just put a rubber band around the finder and forced it into the mount, I will see how that goes.
