I will be at the entrance ways, EAST & WEST at the Sage Gateshead TONIGHT 3/2/2012 with my 80mm refractor { It's canny like} please come along.

Now I know us geordies are deed hard BUT it is about MINUS 6 so please wear a LONG sleeve T -shirt!

Never mind at least there was no snow. If it is clear tomorrow night some of us from Sunderland Astro fancy a trip to our dark sky site at Derwent Reservoir. Let me know and you could join us.

Don't worry you know it will probably cloud over again and it is still quite early in the observing season. We will have more trips to derwent when the moon is not so bright AND remember that a happy wife means a hassle free and happy astronomer. When you think about it we desert them when they want some relaxing time (watching soaps:p) and then when they are warm and asleep wake them with our freezing bodies . Having said all of that my wife is away to London visiting our daughter this weekend so it WILL be cloudy.

Looking at the sat image its going to be cloudy. Looks like snow is on its way too.
