nice work, there are some cracking prominences erupting at the moment.

I wonder if there is a correlation between the periods of high activity on the sun and the periods of cloud cover we get.

It certainly feels like it Kev! It's been a good few days up here but just after I'd finished this set the clouds rolled in - back to wind and rain according to the forecast.

ha ha maybe Chris. Knowing which colour to use is difficult and also a matter of taste. When I look through the eyepiece (and yes, my 54 year old eyes can still see something!) that lavender is the colour I actually see. To be honest I think I prefer mono; I think the details are easier for the eye when there is no colouraton at all.

I agree with your CaK colouration. It is near enough what our eye 'sees' on the rare occasion that I can detect a bit of colour in the PST CaK.
