My first Venus this season

Taken on Sunday evening. Howling gale (well, fairly stiff breeze ), sky not really that dark and scope had not been outside very long. So, all in all, I don't suppose it's that bad. Not sure I got the focus spot on.

8SE + 2x barlow + neximager. About 14k frames @ 1/30s [from an 18k frame avi] @ 80% min quality, showing shape, but not a hint of a detail . Hopefully Venus will become easier in a month or two.

very nice.I was just checking on the forum to ask if imaging Venus is a bit pointless,but you photo shows that it is indeed a beautiful object, all be it in a very minimal way

Nice to see more Venus shots pouring in these days. Well its position certainly won't be any worse over the next few months so there's that to look forward to. Though I've been told that in a sense the best time is now.
