M42, Running Man & M45

Hi all,

Over the past couple of glorious clear nights, I have focused most my attention trying to capture more of M1 nearly 2hrs in total lights now. But even after adding all that extra data I am not getting any better results, I need to go over all my data and see whats up.

So also I have been taking a few of Orion and the Pleiades:

M42 15 X 300sec with darks, flats & bias applied

10 x 35sec for the core.

M45 5 x 300 sec darks & flats applied

All taken on my poor old un-modded 50d

Nice images Vic&Al all using a similar setup to what i will be using once i get the NEQ6. Can you tell me if you used any filters and what the light pollution is like where you imaged from please?.

Using a astronomic cls lp filter with the dslr, urban location looking south over Liverpool airport so LP is pretty bad, rare clear nights.

Getting some goodish results considering though I reckon
