IC410 - supposedly with Tadpoles

I tear my hair out with this nebula (well I would if I had any left) - I just don't seem to be able to get the clarity I would really like in it. Not sure if it's me or limitations of the equipment but I will return to it in the summer months to refine the processing if I can.

2 hours of data in 3 minute subs at ISO 800.

Nothing at all wrong with that....it's a fine image and the tadpoles are quite visible.

They tend to show up much more in hubble pallete images than RGB.

Lovely star colour too

Thanks Zul and Rob. Yes I've looked at a few hubble palette images of it and the tadpoles certainly stand out in them.

Rob's quite right. I have been imaging them at 2 focal lengths recently and in Ha they are really crisp. Add the colour and they go very mushy by comparison.

Most frustrating!! Far from being disappointed I think you should be delighted. Yours are very clear indeed.

Thanks everyone - comments much appreciated. Yes Olly I suppose those tadpoles are pretty clear when I look at it again. I don't know if you're the same but when I'm processing the image, sometimes I almost become "blind" to what I'm looking at as I'm looking at it so intensely. It's only when I come back to it later that I see things properly again.

Thanks Simms - I've had months unable to do anything because of firstly a broken leg and ankle, and then lousy skies. The last two nights I've gone mad:)

Here's hoping for a few more. I've got a lot of catching up to do.
