Not a lot I suspect Phil.

I guess there's probably a limiting stop on altitude, but I reckon at certain times of the day, tha Sun call fall nicely into view.

Then again, what's to stop anybody accidently training a normal pair of bins on the Sun, when perhaps following an aircraft across the sky.

The local ones have very little movement in them, pretty useless to be honest.

An early morning sun would be bright and low in the sky though, I have never heard of anyone doing such a thing, but humans being humans, I'm sure someone has done this!
