Why, when I open the digital development tool in PI are the Color Emphasis options greyed out? I wanted to bring back some of the colour that is lost when applying DD but I cant:icon_scratch:

They only become " live" when the edge emphasis is above zero

Not a tool I ever use as there are better tools in Pixinsight

I thought Digital Development was one of the major things that PS could not do that PI could?

What do you use instead?

Its because its a bit blunt

you will get better control with histogram stretch and hdr wavlets

and or LHE to soup things up

LHE, very nice! Did it last night but today I have found how to blend it back in to the orignal to give a not so strong effect!

As you say Harry - It's a simple tool to use that produces great results!

I am starting to find PI not too hard to use actually. I think I could get a decent image out of it by leaving the tools at the defaults and just clicking! Screen Stretch, then apply to the hostogram trasformation, then LHE again with the default and viola!
