skywatcher zoom.

Recommended Posts

okay, i know they have narrow field of view (7-21mm version) but im after your opinions as to weather it would make a short term stopgap ,say 6 months or so untill money allows better options ?

i can get one for under £ 30 at the moment.

as you can see from my sig, im lacking in options for higher magnifications.

my other option is to get one fixed e/p (say about 12mm) and use the barlow when possible .

either way the zoom would be a short term solution. so ...is it worth the £ 30 or stay clear ?

as always ,your advice is valuable,so thanks .

The SW 8-24mm zoom is not the best on the market but for £50 as a stopgap it's great value for money and still very useable. But if you've spent your £30 now it's all pretty accademic. Just thought I'd comment so you'll know if the topic arises again in the future :(
