First attempt at The Horsehead Nebula in HaRGB

Hi everyone,

This was only really a quick go with not too many subs. I only managed:

Ha (from a very old session): 1 x 5min bin2

Red: 8 x 10mins bin1

Green: 2 x 10mins bin1

Blue: 3 x 10mins bin1

I'm still getting terrible field rotation as in my previous M31 thread and I'm going to try and tame Alnitak on the next process. Any other suggestions will be much appreciated!

p.s. I intended the over purple-ation of the image as I wanted this one to look like a background on a mac

Hi Samir.

You,ve captured all the detail in this image,and its a lovely wide angle shot.

I,m no expert,and as you say you have over coloured it for your own reasons.

It would be interesting to see it toned down a bit for here.

However nice shot though.

You have got a lot of nice data there, and a very nice composition, but just need to tweak the image a bit. Here's a quick adjustment, which I think shows the potential.

Thanks for that Luke, that certainly shows alot more detail. After adding more subs I'm going to go back to processing this one properly I think.
