Thanks for that Damo, where did you learn about the dodgy springs?

The GSO 12" uses the same primary cell and mirror as the Meade Lightbridge 12" and apparently its one of the first upgrades that their owners perform. I have no way of knowing if GSO have since addressed the problem but a set of heavier springs are only £10-12 from Bobs Knobs so i decided it wasn't a deal breaker.

Oh and let me know how that lovely UWAN performs at F/5 in that beast, just for future reference for when I am fortunate enough to do something about my chronic aperture fevers
