Did anybody just see that Meteor burn up to the West.

I think its the brightest I've seen so far. Amazing.

Unfortunately there seems to be a bit of moisture falling from the sky to able to even the biggest of rocks, well untill they give me concusion that is.

Nope - but I did see two small ones whiz through the FOV of my wide field eyepiece whilst looking at M31 !!

Its Quadrantid season.

Wrong direction for a Quadrantid? It was NNW, going W to E. Elevation about 30deg, inclination about 60deg. Mag -2, slow-medium speed, mainly white, small trail, but clear flashes of bright green and a little red. Lasted perhaps five seconds. Seen whilst driving near Slough, Berks.

Yeah wrong direction. Just a sporadic in that case.

Worth spreading the report to people who may have CCTV cameras looking in that direction, or who were doing long exposures at the time (maybe not- due to Moonlight).
