A Coloured Moon Attempt Following Advice From Phil

Following some advice from Phil (Geppetto) I decided to have a go at a coloured Moon shot.

What do you think?

Taken 25-05-07 using Sony DSC-W1 at ISO400 1/400sec Exposure

all this coloured moon stuff makes me think someone is 'terrafirming' the moon...

Next one needs to be a bit less exposure (if the sky ever clears again)

A tad less on the colour would make it more natural as well..

Thanks Guys, here's a reprocess with the exposure and colour brought down.

Yey, that's much better Darren 8)

Now as I said you need to do the same with a slightly lower exposed image.

I took lots of images at different exposures and found that all the ones

that were a bit over exposed didn't show colour in a subtle way.

Here is one taken with the same setting butt only 1/800 sec exposure.

The one on the right is a better image.

No blown out whites and nice detail.

Only thing low on that one is the blue channel (maybe you can tweak that up a bit)

Main thing your fighting is the tweaking of jpegs where I had the luxury of doing

most of my tweaking with a RAW file (much easier to keep control).

I like the one on the right also. Nice subtle colour blending.
