Stargazing Clubs/Events in Norfolk (UK)?

Hi everyone,

I live in Norfolk, between Norwich & Fakenham, and wondered if anyone on SGL had experience/info on clubs and societies in the area? I know about the Kelling Heath Star Party, and that there is a Norwich and also a North Norfolk society, does anybody have any info on either of these, or maybe even is a member? Any other info also much appreciated. Many thanks

Not a member of the Norwich club but they are fairly active.

Seem to have an observatory somewhere in the wilds South of Norwich, I gather they issue a map and details on how to get to it.

Some months back they organised a day at UEA with BAA for talks on amateur and professional collaborations. Hope they organise another one or two this year as I will try to get up to any.

The Kings Lynn club I am unsure of. Thought that it changed names a while back. Seems to be West Norfolk according to fedastro but the web page is still Kings Lynn.

The other one is Breckland astro, which looks pretty active, just not sure where it is in relation to you.

Not a 'clubby' sort of bloke myself, but Breckland Astronomical Society has an observatory at Great Ellingham and an impressive 20" reflector. Their website is here: Breckland Skies
