I'm off to see the family in Germany tomorrow for the Christmas holidays.

They moved to the country side near Frankfurt, it's a small village with minimum light pollution, and they are on the outskirts.... (read: dark site).

I'm taking my Megrez 72 with me

I now need to convince the other half that the EQ1 is not that heavy for the main suitcase and will not damage the clothes.... (still working on the perfect line for a win...)

Of course I will also be taking my GF1 with me, I'll try to picture the Pleiades so I can compare with http://stargazerslounge.com/imaging-deep-sky/167523-pleiades-megrez-72-a.html (132 views and no replies ..., I know I'm a newbie and doesn't have the ultimate mount/scope/ccd etc... but I'm learning)

Weather forecast has been checked, I should have at least a couple if not more of clear nights.

Looks like a Pretty good trip is imminent.

Don't know zip about imaging so I never comment in the imaging section.
