Helios Quantum 4 10 x 60 bins.

Hi,

Has anyone any opinions about these bins. They have just that bit more aperture and, unlike the 15 x 70 Revs and Celestrons, they're nitrogen filled e.t.c. They're £107.

Not sure how useful nitrogen filled bins are for astronomy. I'm looking for another pair and ideally would prefer to get non-nitrogen bins so that the money I spend is invested in improved optics rather than waterproofing. Having said that so many bins are nitrogen filled these days to keep strictly to this would severely limit the choices available.

I agree, have a pair of these myself. If you can afford the extra I'd go for the 15x70s over the 10x60s.
