Hi Frenchy,

I have the (slightly) bigger brother the ST102 and love it - lightweight, easy to carry and great views - this time of year the pleiades looks awesome through it.

Enjoy and clear skies to you!

Chris

Ok, thank you.

When I will use the camera tripod, Is it going to be attached directly to the telescope or to the EQ-1 mount?

For exemple, if I use this one is it going to be ok?

Thanks

That tripod is a camera tripod and no good at all for astro photography. The camera attaches to the scope in place of the eyepiece, the scope being on the eq mount. To be honest I wouldn't consider taking pictures using an EQ-1. Use that to get used to the ST80 and to astronomical observing using just your eyes, then upgrade to a more suitable mount when you want to move into taking pictures.
