Hi and welcome from sunny south west France. Does your setup have an AZ mount? If so, for long exposure astrophotography you need an equatorial platform which sits on top of your tripod and the telescope attaches to it. You then change your star tracking to equatorial. This allows the telescope to follow the star using one drive only. The AZ mounts follow a star but both drives are used and the object tends to drift around in the FOV. Not good for astrophotography. Hope this helps.
