Looks identical to the 0.6 focal reducer I once had.

Easy enough to find out.

a) Does it behave like a rather weak magnifying glass? If so, it's the focal reducer.

:) When you hold it up at arms length, do you get a minaturised image of the stuff in your room? If so, then it's a Barlow/OCS lens

In both cases, it's designed to be screwed onto the filter threads of an eyepiece/binoviewer

Thanks for the replies.

Yes, it is like a very weak magnifier, so a focal reducer it must be! I have an AE Barlow lens, which is similar, but shorter.

I can put this to use at last with my Mak.
