I noticed when viewing through my scope that my 2x Barlow lens creates a small hair like image (must be a hair or similar) - what is the best way to clean eyepieces - Cotton buds on sticks ? cleaning fluid ? or what advice can anyone give me please ....?

I use a hurricane blower to shift loose stuff and the Baader Optical Wonder fluid and micro fibre cloth occasionally to remove more stubborn stuff.

You can rotate the eyepiece / barlow to work out which item the object is on. Sometimes it can be a "floater" in your eye and not on the optics at all.
