Hi,

I am slowly working through my imaging sessions from september, this one was taken on 30/09/11. I have used my Atik 314L+ color CCd camera on a Skywatcher f/5 reflector with an Astronomik CLS filter + HE5 mount. This image is a stack of 10x 10min. guided frames, captured and processed in Nebulosity, final touches in Photoshop.

Just a quick inventory: in the middle M78, left on top NGC2071. To the right from M78 is NGC2067, on the right side in an almost vertical row NGC2064, Mc Neil's nebula and Bernes 106. I am still dreaming of those unforgettable clear nights...

clear skies,

Janos

Very nice indeed, this is one of the objects on my list for this winter although it will be a wider FOV for me. M78 is often overlooked because of the other more glorious stuff in Orion but it is a beautiful object in its own right as your image shows. It looks a little bit like an eye in your shot!
