First Attempt at R"G"B imaging...

..well almost! More like RB Imaging.

I was pushed for time with clouds expected later in the evening.

So I took 6x10 minute subs through Red and Blue filters.

MX916 Starlight Xpress CCD Camera. Taken through 8" Newt.

No darks or flats.

Just after I finished the blue subs, it clouded over.

So to produce a colour image I synthesized a green channel.

Now I've started on this RGB malarky, is there any going back?

Maybe a higher resolution camera?

I can see me getting close to one of those old slippery slopes again. Ulp!!!

Very nice start, it will be good to see a green channel added.

I would stick with this camera for a bit. You can try M1, ngc891, m81 or m82. Plenty of targets that are perfect for your setup.
