Can this be run on a CG5 goto mount?

No. Only Synta Skywatcher and Orion goto mounts.

What's the difference between the heq5 and heq5 pro? There are three models listed on eqmod the pro, syntrek and synscan?

The basic HEQ5 has non goto motors, the HEQ5 Pro and Syntrek are the same goto mount but the Pro version is supplied with the Synscan goto handset and the Syntrek has a non goto handset similar to the one supplied with the Suptrak and Autotrack AZ mounts. The Pro and Syntrek mounts can both be controlled from a computer using an EQDIR module and EQMod.

Following the announcement by FLO, if you find a syntrek unit then snap it up as these are being dropped by the manufacture. So you will have to buy the full pro unit with the handset if you want the precision goto mount in the future

Yeah id noticed that they were quite scarce, and read the anouncement on here. Pity that they have dropped, seemed like the ideal mount for me.
