what are low power eyepeices?

Eyepeices can be very complicated but the short answer is they are lower magnification with a wider field of view. You can recognise them by their higher focal legth, ie, 40mm, 35mm. There is a whole section devoted to eyepeices....scroll down

Good advice above, also remember that there is a minimum power associated with your scope, and your eye. see url for the calculation, just fill in tghe blanks it will do it for you.!
