Jupiter is well placed for me now and we had a clear spell of weather so I stayed up late and had a very enjoyable 2 hours observing session.

Seeing was superb at 00:00 UT - AII but seemed to deteriorate a little by the time I started drawing, still lots of detail though.....

Takahashi FS-128 plus Zeiss Binoviewer and 15mm TV Plossls giving x180.

15th October 2011 - 01:00UT - AII - Bury, Lancashire.

Thanks guys, yes Jupiter looked great last night - it's the most detail I have ever seen. The Binoviewers really help the brain to see detail. A slight plus point last night was that it was quite warm :-)

Will try again tonight......
