Stars in AGASC

Hi, I am only new here and to astronomy. My girlfriend bought me a telescope for my bday and she bought me a star to name. Now its at mag 13.8 so my 6" reflector won't see it but I have a couple of questions:

1) Is it possible to see this star in a larger telescope?

2) I have an id in the AXAF guide and Acquisition Star Catalogue but don't think I can use Cartes Du Ciel to see it. Is there a chart I could use to locate it?

What's the star's designation number eg HIP 67543, TYC 1543-76543-1 etc ?

You might just be able to see it but it should be possible in an 8 inch or larger scope.

Ok from what I've spent the last 2 days looking up on the internet is that no-one can officially name a star except the IAU and it is really a scam as is buying land on the moon!! It is quite annoying to think all you are paying for is a made up certificate. Since this is the case I don't understand why they don't at least present the buyer of a star that is at least visible???
