Moon 19-04-07, weird but I like it

Have not been feeling too clever lately, so scope has not been out, but the moon looked so good tonight I had to just get the camera out.

Taken using Nikon 5700, on tripod, no idea what settings as other half not here and camera is his.

Played with in PS 7.

Strange image but I like it.

Nice bit of Earthshine there. Funnily enough, I did one of those tonight but haven't processed it yet. Hope it comes out as well as yours.

Ahh, if you had sent the Moon to the upper left corner, the Pleiades would have been beautiful on the opposite side. I like it.

I don't know if all camera cards have/do this, but when I put the card into my computer and open the folder, there is a 'Info' text document in there. This (on my camera) has all the main settings used for each image taken. Worth a look on your card??

Settings were ISO 400, F2.8, 1/2 sec exposure,

Very, very nice. I like the fact that you can clearly see the maria on the moon in the Earthlit part. Nice sharp stars, too.
