Milky Way - Great Rift

Here's a widefield shot of the Milky Way. You can (just about ) make out the Great Rift, a series of dark dust clouds below Cygnus.

Single exposure, 30 sec with a EOS 550D + Tokina Zoom @ 12mm.

Widefield images of our own galaxy are very attractive. I sometimes wonder why more aren't taken. I know longer exposed tracked ones are excellent, but fixed camera shorter exposures, can be very successful too, as in this one of the Milky Way Rift.
