Skywatcher pro series

Been thinking about the Skywatcher pro series but not sure which one is best for viewing and astrophotography.

Yup aperture rules. The colour correction on all 3 is great (although not perfect). I've owned the ED80 and ED100 both are excellent 'scopes and from the reviews i've read the 120 is also excellent.

What is the viewing and imaging like on the ed80

The ED80 is a cracking 'scope. Excellent colour correction and very crisp views. Not really a planetary 'scope though as it's only 600mm. For visual 80mm isn't much for DSO's either but the wide field stuff is breath taking. Imaging it's the best thing out there before you hit the big money at around a grand and over

ED80 is the widest field of view and the faster 'scope so easiest for imaging. It's a good place to start. You can also use it as a guide 'scope for long focal length 'scopes like SCTs as well.
