Supercook
Is there such a thing as an auto focuser to fit my Skywatcher 130m? I know that some clever people have made one for their particular scope but I ain't that clever!
Kaptain Klevtsov
I think the Skywatcher electric focuser http://www.firstlightoptics.com/proddetail.php?prod=swautofocuser would help, but it doesn't focus automagically, just lets you focus manually without touching the 'scope. That cuts down a lot of the wobbling and you can move the focuser more finely than you can by hand.Captain Chaos
Kaptain Klevtsov
http://www.firstlightoptics.com/proddetail.php?prod=swautofocuser is an electric focus aid. It lets you press buttons to move the focuser which means a lot less 'scope wobble. It doesn't automatically focus for you though.Captain Chaos

Chubster
Am I right in saying though that once its on, its on....ie you cant focus manually without completely removing it ?
FLO
Unfortunately, the Autofocuser doesn't work on the 130M; it is designed for the Synta 1.25"/2" focusers.
Kaptain Klevtsov
Am I right in saying though that once its on, its on....ie you cant focus manually without completely removing it ?Yes, but why would you want to do it manually? If its got batteries, its got to be good.Captain Chaos

Cloudgazer
Could a SkyWatcher 1.25"/2" focuser be fitted to the 130M?.. if so there's one for sale in the link below for £20.http://stargazerslounge.co.uk/index.php?topic=11760.msg122315#msg122315Out of interest.. would the SkyWatcher electric focuser adjust more finely than a dual speed Crayford?Scott
