slop in the focuser

The focuser has slop, I am alking about the black ring on the focuser that takes either the 1.25 and 2 inch eye adaptor on the skyliner 200. I can rotate it, and there is room to jiggle it about. The focuser itself is sturdy. Exactly how big of an issue is this, especially when using a laser collimator?

The black ring is a screwed fit into the focuser body, it should be possible to tighten it up by rotating it clockwise untill the slop is taken up. Any slop in this position would certainly compromise accurate laser collimation.
