Last night's Jupiter

Well last night I set up the scope and set my alarm clock for 2am.

I managed to grab this before the clouds rolled in and my scope dewed up!!!

1st attempt on my new C11

Hey Will, nice start with ur new C11,

try using x2 Barlow next time to increase image scale a bit, should help more details stand out,

take it from ur sig ur using SPC,

also noticed ur dew remark, are u using dew shield, it is certainly an essential accessory for me

Hi James, Yes I've got a dew shield, but it looks like i'm going to need a heater strip as well

Good first effort. Yes dewing is aproblem, I use a heater band on my C11. Also try a 2x or 3x barlow, it makes such a difference.

Thanks all. This is my first attempt, so I'm quite pleased.

I've got a Televue 3x Barlow, so I'll give that a go next. I'm also looking at an Imaging Source Camera. Just need to decide which (Colour I think, I know black and white is more sensitive, but I don't want to faf around with the filters, then merging the images)
