DSLR Filter removal, job done.

1 1/2 hours later I have succesfully removed the standard Canon EOS350D filter to improve astroimaging. Nothing like switching the camera on and getting a result. Very pleased with what I have just achieved.

The older cameras are if anything a bit more tricky as you have to de-solder the EMC shield... nice result - I think you will enjoy it...

Cheers, I hope I do enjoy it. Bit of a major committment when you have never taken an astroimage (apart from the moon) in your life. Yes, soldering was tricky but the replacement of the many ribbon cables was very fiddly.

I actually had a D10 for a few hours... then swapped it back... now the 10D is a different animal...
