Dual Mount Bar - but which side to put the heavier scope in?

Just got a dual mount bar on my EQ6, now I have a 120ED and 80ED, should I put the heavier 120ED on the East-to-West side? or the other side or does it not matter?

Couldn't matter less as once you have got it all balanced up correctly all will be well. The only caveat to that is that if you have a dome observatory and you do most of your imaging to the east or west, you may prefer the main imaging 'scope to be the higher of the two for clearance.

Balancing can be an issue but I have a sure fire method if need one!

Thanks, I suppose I did not mean East-to-West - as they all go that way! duh!

I meant the west side - so slot 2 or the one on the right, as it moves round!

It doesnt matter which side you put them, once on you will have to balance them out.

I have the 100ED and 80 ED and when used together the 100 is nearly on the saddle puck to get balance.
