Simple questions ??

Hi Folks,

I have started taking some WebCam videos using SharpCap.

Whenever I go to stack using RegiStax (v5.1), it won't load.

I've tried using VirtualDub, but that does not make any difference.

I'm using AviStack, but the interface on RegiStax looks simpler.

So, what format should I be capturing in SharpCap? (I420, IYUY or YUY2)?

As I said, I have managed to stack some video using AviStack2.

I just accepted the defaults for batch processing and have an image - It's nothing compared to the glorious images posted here, but it's mine I took a couple including experimenting through a yellow filter.

Which photo editing software is the recommended one? Will this allow me to change the "yellow" picture to something more realistic (i.e. B&W)?

I'm sure I'll continue to frustrate you with basic questions, but hopefully I'll not need to ask the same one twice.

As far as the sharpcap format question, probably best to PM Robin (rwg) who wrote it and is the expert. If you want a B&W result, registax will allow you to process it in B&W rather than colour (a tick box at the top of the screen)

I capture using YUY2 and haven't had any problems with either Registx 5.1 or 6.
