Really Really Frustrated

Recommended Posts

Thanks to all those who posted up links for driver software and such like for the Phillips SPC 880 (flashed 900) webcam.

Unfortunately not a single driver (of 6!) that I downloaded worked :)

I reckon the webcam is knackered. I will be phoning the vendor on Monday to ask their advice.:icon_scratch:

If the camera was flashed OK, then at least the original Philips Vlounge should see the camera and allow imaging.

Is this the case?

If not then it could need to be re-flashed properly to a 900nc firmware level.

You have to install the driver manually. Once it's downloaded and run it places it under audio and game devices.

Go to the Philips website to download the SPC900NC/00 camera application:

http://download.p4c.philips.com/files/s/spc900nc_00/spc900nc_00_dw7_eng.exe

Run the program and once installed reboot the PC

Open up device manager and right click on the "unknown device" and select the option to update driver

Then select to option to manually install the driver

Choose the option to pick from a list of devices

Go to sound video and game controllers and then navigate to Phillips CS and select the 900 in the right window

Click Yes to any warning messages
