Orion 120Ed Focal Reducer, advice plz?

Hi will the ( USA ) Orion 120ED Focal Reducer work ok with the Skywatcher ED120 DS Pro telescope?

Both the Orion & Skywatcher focal reducers look the same, same colour grey / black.

They are the identical as far as I know (except the name). I do have the skywatcher branded reducer/flattener and it works a real treat.

I think they are matched to the focal length, so no, I wouldn't expect the 80ED one to work as well on a 120ED scope.

The focal length of the skywatcher 80ED DS Pro & the 120ED DS Pro are both F7.5

Has anyone got both a skywatcher 120ED & 80ED which they have successfully swapped focal reducers on? And it worked ok?

They do not have the same focal length, they have the same f ratio which is not the same.

The focal length of the 80ED is 600mm and the 120ED is 900mm.

:icon_salut:Please forgive the hijack, but would the same reducer fit the Vixen 102s given that it also has a 900mm focal length?
