jupiter 5th august

taken this morning approx 3am with my 127 mak using x2 barlow. 2000 frames 1200 used. 2nd attempt at imaging jupiter and quite a bit better than my first atempt. Not quite as good as i would like though but there will be lots of attempts ahead:hello2:

i feel perhaps focus is a bit out i just cant seem to get it better. Any tips or pointers on the picture would be much appreciated:D

VERY NICE! You are correct the focus is a tad out but there is a solution First Light Optics - StarSharp Bahtinov Focus Masks

+1 for StarSharp absolutely brilliant. Makes focusing a doddle.

Yes, use a Bahtinov mask to focus on a nearby star then move back to Jupiter to do your imaging. Excellent image for just your second attempt.
