Orion Ultraview 10 x 50

Good evening

Just bought a second hand pair of these. 7 deg FOV which is large for 10 x 50 which are normally 5 degs.

I have cleaned the eyepieces with a lens pen from years of dust and they have come up quite well..I used a special lens spanner I bought to get the lenses out which is great!

Will try them on the stars and see if we have good small star points!

P.S If anyone has any old binos what are dusty or have fungus in them send them to me and I will clean them and find them a budding young astronomer at our local astro club..

These Orions sound a bit like my 10x50 (Bresser branded, but not the same as the more recent ones found at the Lidl). They also sport 7.0 deg field of view, which is great for wide-field viewing. They should give you a lot of fun
