Mars - 25-July

Hi,

I decide to take a picture of Mars despite the fact that it is dim, low, and far.

I took the picture @ f/30 when the sky were already very bright.

Nevertheless you can make out some detail of a black terrain on the planet.

Cracking image of Mars for this time in the season, what telescope/camera were you using?

Scope - SkyWatcher - BKP2001EQ5 Dual Motor

Camera - Philips SPC900

Usign 2 barlows on top of each other (Meade short Barlow x2, Meade Telextender x3)

Nice use of the Barlows to get maximum mag, and the 200P will be great for the ice caps when Mars nears opposition! I will be looking forward to that time

Really nice to see Mars again, and some detail visible even when only 4.5" across! Well done.

Shame the next opposition in March next year will be one of the least favourable, with a maximum size of only about 14" (compared to around 22" at the 2020 opposition).
