sp900nc deep sky filtering

i have just upgraded my skywatcher 150p for a glorious 200p.

i had my sp900nc webcam upgraded by a fantastic engineer who converted it to 2 usb leads on a 1.5 mod upgrade by using micro engineering. instead of the usual serial upgrade.

i am ready to try my hand at deep sky imaging. but wonderd if i need to use red green blue filters to to get the colour in my pictures.

i was given the software to do long exposiers and have registax etc to play with.

could anyone help

It'd be interesting to try RGB filters, but as it is a colour camera you shouldn't need them. Just get out and do some imaging and post your results

No RGB filters, it's already a colour cam.

You probably don't want Registax for LX, Deep Sky Stacker instead.

It won't much of a difference. You can as good stack in registax as in DSS.
