ponytale
Posted my diy mirror and flat off to Vacuum Coatings on Tuesday, have asked them to test it for me, at £20 for test its worth it i think, as i would always be wondering how good/bad it is. hopefully it gets there in one piece.I have now dismantled my dob for painting and packing.i think i will have to take the mirrors on the airplane as hand baggage because my packed boxes will probably be gone when it comes back. Telrad
Good luck with the mirror ponytale, I hope it pasts the test with flying colours!
Glasspusher
Your initial tests with the mirror gave some positive results, whatever the results from the Vac coatings tests use the mirror and enjoy it.John
FraserClarke
think i will have to take the mirrors on the airplane as hand baggage I once got accused of trying to take a block of glass (very precisely made and worth ~$10,000) on the plane as a dangerous weapon! Apparently I could have bludgeoned someone over the head with it... I pointed out it was the same weight as my laptop, but that was different "because it is electronic"... edit: PS -- I wouldn't get worried about taking your mirror on BTW -- I think I just got a funny security guard who'd made her mind up beforehand...
