Binoculars showing a double image

Here's the thing, I lent a pair of binoculars to my boss and when I looked through them recently have a double image, like they're boss eyed, would anyone know if this is an easy repair, or are new binos the best option, they are Helios 7x50's

I would not recommend collimation as a DIY procedure. I used to work in a shop where we repaired them - some DIY efforts were un-repairable!

It sounds like they have been knocked and are now out of collimation, as it was your Boss you could challenge him about it and ask for a new pair, on the other hand if you like your job Don`t

I had the same problem with my Bresser 10x50's, I lent them to someone, they got knocked, and came back with double vision. I collimated them and it worked well. I wasn't too worried, as these were a Lidl £11 pair, and reading online the procedure looked easy. I just took it very slowly and very carefully. I can understand Ad Astra's concerns though.
