Can you increase diopter range of Celestron 15x70s?

I have a new set of Celestron 15x70 but have found that I can't set the diopter far enough to equalise the left/right eye focus.

Anyone know if this can be tweaked or not?

Great bins but the lack of focus is not good.

Do you have this problem with other binos ? Usually there is enough range to

equalise both sides.

To get more adjustment may be possible with a bit of DIY, it's only a helical screw

thread. But please be careful, you could void any warranty, or mess them up

completely.

I have another pair of cheapo bins and they needed only a small adjustment. It was only recently I realised that they had diopter adjustment as well. Hence I made sure the new ones (Celestron 15x70s) had the option as well.

I currently have three good pairs (10x50s - 10x30s - 15x70s) and the dioptre adjustment is pretty much the same on all three for me. (Just left of centre) Sounds like you may have a faulty pair. If it's possible I'd take them back to the supplier.

Have you got the Skymaster? IMO At close distances Porro binoculars need right dioptre readjusting more than roofs, because of the bigger distance between the objective lenses.
