I was thinking wouldn't it be cool if Fabien Chéreau developed a 3D version of Stellarium?

..prehaps just plug the laptop into 3D TV?

There is a 3D astro thingy called "Interactive 3D model of the solar system planets and the night sky". I've got it bookmarked but don't know how to pass it on to you but i'm sure if you googled it you'd find it. It's pretty good as you get real time view of the planets but you can also rewind or fast forward to see where they all are at any given time.

There is a program called "Celestia" which is kind of 3D. You can see Phobos and Deimos in their potato-shapes, for example. Or the ISS. Or zoom into Saturn and look around in different angles.
