Redshift 5 vs Starry Night

Recommended Posts

I'm going to stretch the 'equipment' definition and include software - after all, they are very usefull tools for us astronomers!!

So, I know plenty of people use SN, but is anyone using Redshift? It looks quite funky, and a damn site cheaper @ $29 (possible get it for less on Amazon), and according to RS website, is packed with more features than SN.

Any thoughts anyone?

I beleive that the software (in terms of what they do) are very similar to each other! Starry Night does have the ability to controll a telescope mount using the LX200 protocols (i think).

There is a reveiw inside Novermbers AN that tell's you a little more info on RS5.
