hi all since my last post i have gone out and bought photoshop. below are 2 images that i took last night. 1 processed in GIMP and 1 in photoshop.

really happy with the results but 1 question i have is: how do i get star spikes that i see in other images? do i need very long exposures or just hours of data? or are they artifically entered into the image?
