No... we've an internal P.A system for big crowds - the external speaker is particularly for clear nights when we hold a session outdoors

Andy - just to be clear we try to get people to come to us for talks on the 1st thursday of the month and we start earlier on those nights.

You may be interested to know (as you're in walking distance) that they have a bar - current guest ale is Theakstons and not bad it was too last night!
