Hi all

I suppose I could buy a 'proper' set up costing maybe £400-500 but is there anyway of using e.g. Buy GemRed Rotary Angle Encoder with Remote Sensor from Axminster, fast delivery for the UK on the alt and az of my dob and link to a small computer (rather than the small reader) which would give me a push to system? This would save the manual calculation etc.

Has anyone done this before?

Firstly they're out of stock and secondly the accuracy is 0.1 degrees ie. 6 minutes of arc. This is nowhere near accurate enough for telescope use.
